YOUCA is een organisatie voor en door jongeren. Jongeren staan bij YOUCA aan het stuur en nemen de grote beslissingen. Elk jaar kiezen jullie welk project we met de opbrengst van de YOUCA Action Day zullen steunen. Zo kozen jongeren dat de opbrengst van de YOUCA Action Day van 2023 zal gaan naar een project van Plan International in Senegal.

Op dit moment zijn we op zoek naar het project dat we zullen steunen met de opbrengst van de YOUCA Action Day in 2024. En jij kan daarover meebeslissen!

YOUCA is an organisation for and by young people. Young people are at the wheel at YOUCA and make the big decisions. Every year you choose which project we will support with the proceeds of the YOUCA Action Day. For example, young people chose that the proceeds of the 2023 YOUCA Action Day will go to a Plan International project in Senegal.

Right now, we are looking for the project we will support with the proceeds of the 2024 YOUCA Action Day. And you can have a say in that!

Elk kandidaatproject geraakte al door een preselectie waarbij we nakijken of ze voldoen aan enkele aandachtspunten waaraan elk YOUCA-project moet voldoen. Dit gebeurt door een projectcommissie van jongeren en experten.

Echte jongerenprojecten. De projecten richten zich niet enkel op jongeren, zij staan er ook mee aan het roer.
Met één uitgesproken doel en gekoppeld aan de SDG's (Duurzame ontwikkelingsdoelstellingen).
Vormingsprojecten met aandacht voor
- De minst geprivilegeerden in de samenleving
- Een inclusieve werking (gender, etnische minderheden, ...)
- Duurzaamheid!

Each candidate project already passed a pre-selection where we check whether they meet some of the focal points that every YOUCA project has to meet. This is done by a project committee of young people and experts.

Genuine youth projects. The projects are not just aimed at young people, they are also at the helm.
With one clear goal and linked to the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).
Training projects focusing on
- The least privileged in society
- An inclusive operation (gender, ethnic minorities, etc.)
- Sustainability!

Hoe stem ik?

Voor je je stem uitbrengt is het erg belangrijk dat je goed weet wat elk project juist inhoudt. Lees daarom de beschrijving van de drie projecten zorgvuldig en kijk elk filmpje met veel aandacht.

Hou de volgende vragen in je achterhoofd

Wat zijn de uitdagingen die de verschillende projecten willen aanpakken? En hoe gaan ze deze aanpakken?
Welke uitdaging vind ik belangrijk? Biedt dit project het juiste antwoord op deze uitdaging?
Is de uitdaging relevant in een globaal verhaal? Herkennen de Belgische jongeren de uitdaging ook vanuit hun lokale context?

Wanneer je alles gelezen en bekeken hebt, en je helemaal mee bent met de drie projecten kan je je stem uitbrengen via het stemformulier dat je onderaan deze pagina vindt.

How do I vote?

Before you cast your vote, it is very important that you know exactly what each project entails. Therefore, read the description of the three projects carefully and watch each video with great attention.

Keep the following questions in mind

What are the challenges the different projects want to tackle? And how will they tackle them?
Which challenge do I think is important? Does this project offer the right answer to this challenge?
Is the challenge relevant in a global story? Do the Belgian young people also recognise the challenge from their local context

When you have read and watched everything, and you are completely on board with the three projects, you can cast your vote via the voting form found at the bottom of this page.
